The enrollment of foreign students coming to the Republic of Belarus on the legal basis and having the necessary level of the previous education is carried out in accordance with the international agreements of the Republic of Belarus, as well as on the contractual basis  between BSATU and foreign citizens or their representatives (organizations).

Persons who have general secondary education or vocational education, or vocational secondary education proved by corresponding education certificate can enter BSATU.

The admission of foreign citizens having the necessary level of the previous education is carried out on the terms of payment in accordance with the contract concluded by BSATU with foreign citizens.

Foreign citizens who don’t speak Russian will be enrolled in the preparatory course to study the Russian language and the main subjects of the chosen speciality.

Foreign citizens enter BSATU on the results of final testing after completing the preparatory department. Those who haven’t got a certificate of the completion of the preparatory department enter the University on the results of the interview that evaluates whether the level of the Russian language knowledge is sufficient to study at the University.

Identification document (passport), appropriate visa and compulsory medical insurance, completed in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus are necessary for admission of foreign citizens and stateless persons to study at the University.

Citizens of Russia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Kyrgyz Republic can be enrolled in BSATU either as citizens of the Republic of Belarus, or on the basis of payment as provided for foreign citizens.

The list of documents which is to be submitted by applicants to the Department of International relations (DIR) of BSATU: 

  • the application for admission to the University with indication of speciality;
  • the education certificate of studied subjects with received marks for credits and exams (Diploma of Higher Education for master’s or postgraduate’s course);
  • medical consultative board conclusion issued by territorial health organization of Belarus (after passing compulsory medical testing);
  • the medical report and certificate of HIV absence issued by the official medical establishment of the country the candidate came from for training;
  • 6 photos of 3×4;
  • a copy of a notarized birth certificate;
  • graduation certificate of the pre-university training faculty, the preparatory department, preparatory courses (if there are any);
  • filled-in application form (please download below).

Application form

Documents issued in a foreign language must have the notarized translation into the Russian language.
The passport must be presented by the applicant personally.

The deadline for documents admission:

  • foreign citizens coming for full-time study of the first degree training on the terms of payment – till the 15th of October;
  • foreign citizens coming for extramural study of the first degree training on the terms of payment – till the 1st of December;
  • foreign citizens coming for full-time study of the second degree training (Master degree program) and also postgraduate training on the terms of payment – during the whole year;
  • foreign citizens coming to the preparatory department – during the whole year.

Entrance examinations for foreign citizens are held in the form of an interview concerning level knowledge of the Russian language in which the University provides training. If a foreign citizen passes the interview successfully he becomes a first year student of the University by the decision of Admission Committee. A contract is concluded with the foreign student. According to this contract the Rector issues the order about student’s admission.
In case of insufficient knowledge of the Russian language or specialized subjects the applicant can be trained at the preparatory department that has two majors: technical and economic. After a successful completion of the curriculum and passing exams the student is issued the certificate of the completion of the preparatory department. The student is enrolled on the main faculty of the chosen speciality of BSATU or can continue his study at any University of the Republic of Belarus or Commonwealth of Independent States. The training at the preparatory department takes 1 year. The students learn the Russian language and other subjects depending on the specialty they are going to obtain.
