Why Belarus

The Republic of Belarus is a beautiful country, situated in the centre of Europe, and has international borders with five countries: Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia and Poland. Although a landlocked state, the location has made Belarus an important trade and transport route between Europe and the CIS.

Belarus has an ancient history and a unique natural environment with a great selection of rare plant and animal species, plus several National Parks and a range of significant conservation projects. It is a country of forests, rivers, lakes, fields and meadows.

Total land area of Belarus is 207.600 km², population is 9.155,9 million. Belarus has 6 regions (Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev, Minsk). Languages spoken in Belarus are Belarusian and Russian. 

Minsk is the capital of the Republic of Belarus. Today Minsk is a modern international city. It is the political, economic, scientific and cultural centre of the country. The main educational establishments of the country are concentrated in Minsk. The capital has an extensive network of cultural establishments including museums and theatres. Minsk has about 3,600 sports centers including stadiums and athletic fields, pools and sport centers. There are numerous interesting historical places and architectural monuments.

Belarusians are friendly people. All foreigners are accepted with hospitality without any religious and national conflicts.

The educational system of the Republic of Belarus has very dynamic development. The universities have highly qualified specialists. There is a great opportunity to acquire a high level of the Russian language, to plunge into the traditions and culture of the country and meet new people.
